There is a lot that goes into finding the perfect facility for your wedding celebration. The right size, look and feel are some of the first feelings that come to mind when you take that first tour. When you find just the right place, you say to yourself "This is where my wedding will be!"
Now what if you could take the same room and transform it, time and time again during your reception. With the powerful statement of up lighting, Creative Memories Entertainment can do just that for your celebration. When you select up lighting or wall washes for your event you are typically confined to one color the entire night. This should not be the case when it comes to a day that is filled with many different feelings, emotions, and a rollercoaster ride of activities. Let's say your wedding colors are Tiffany Blue and Auburn Red, these are two of the hottest colors for 2008. As you enter your reception during the grand entrance you see a ballroom that you have never seen before. You notice that the walls surrounding your guests have transformed into an elegant Tiffany Blue, and a smile comes to your face. It gets better, since Creative Memories Entertainment is providing the lighting you know that this will not be your average night of color. As you and your husband step out for your first dance the lighting in the room begins to dim and you feel as though it's just the two of you looking into each other's eyes. Soon you are reminded that you are not alone as your guests awwweeee in delight as the room slowly transforms from Tiffany Blue to a passionate red. The moment is perfect, the pictures look perfect, and your guests are looking at you with a perfect backdrop that accents the moment and not just the room. Creative Memories Entertainment has the perfect lighting package that gives you access to over 16 Million Color Combinations for your wedding day. Janelle and Joey recently booked our amazing room lighting package and the photos you are looking at are from their event. If you are interested in taking your reception to perfection, Creative Memories Entertainment has the perfect lighting package to accent your dream wedding.
One word will sum up the experience for our wedding day "WOW"! The moment finally came when I put down the microphone and took the roll of a groom for the day. January 26th 2008, April and I said "I do" in front of a room full of friends and family. Twelve years and seven hundred weddings worth of ideas lead up to this day filled with fun and surprises. One of which will live on in the hearts of our friends and family for many years, our first dance. April and I selected Heaven by Bryan Adams for our first dance and as we stepped out on the dance floor a beautiful layer of clouds surrounded us. Everything was perfect, the girl, the song, the dance until...the song began to skip. Can you believe it, right at the end of our perfect first dance the stupid track began to stutter. Luckily April and I had a plan, for just this occasion and....well you'll have to watch the video to find out.
The first dance with a twist is an idea that I have shared with many clients and has always been a treat for the couple that wants a little something different for their first dance. The energy of the room was at 120% percent and the team at Music on the Move kept them there, the entire time. Every moment of the wedding was captured by Phill Sheffield of Sheffield Multimedia, though I am not sure how because I don't think I noticed him the entire night, but then again, that is what a professional does. The beautiful floral work was done by Katie Edwards of Ambiance Floral Design and I don't believe I have ever seen so many flowers and candles in a room at the same time. What surprised me even more is that we enjoyed them for two weeks following the wedding in our home. I have never seen flowers last that long.
Being in the Entertainment industry I knew more than anyone that finding the right DJ was crucial to bringing our vision to life. I turned to the team at Music on the Move to handle those very details. Doug, Doug, and Dara had everything perfect that night. I was most surprised when I realized that I did not make a single request that night, I was too busy dancing to even bother. The music, mood, and personalized touches made our wedding better than we could imagine. The images of our wedding were captured by Nicole and Arie at XSight Photography and we will be viewing our album this week. One month after the wedding and we get to see the pictures...Wow. I will be posting some of them very soon to share with everyone. The room was perfectly accented by chair covers and linens from Slip of Elegance. Every chair and table was perfect, and every bow looked amazing. If you are looking for perfection and elegance, you want to call Darcie. Memories of the ceremony have been playing back in my mind ever since and that is due to the beautiful words that were spoken by Rev. Jeri Murphy who performed our ceremony. Her words were trully insperational to the start of our marriage. I have also worked with her for many years and knew that she was going to bring pure elegance to our wedding celebration. Last but not least there is no way we could have pulled all these details together that day without Jackie of Every Little Detail, no pun intended. She provided us with the guidance we needed to create the perfect day. We even got our invitations through her and they looked amazing. Having a coordinator there was a huge help when it came to enjoying the night.
I plan on sharing more details from the wedding day in future posts...stay tuned.
Saturday night was exquisitely amazing; Leah, Ryan and their guest's experienced an event that they will be talked about for many years to come. It started with a beautiful ceremony in the Terrace Garden at Arden Hill Country Club. The ceremony was heartfelt and full of tears and soon after kiss the guests were treated to a breath taking reception that was decorated to the finest detail including a couple hand crafted figurines adorning the wedding cake. I will tell you more about that later!
As we introduced Leah and Ryan, the crowd erupted in applause as the room began to snow atop the happy couple as they greeted their guests. Ryan made arrangements with me to surprise his beautiful bride with the snow during one of our appointments.
As you can tell from the photographs that I took, we accented the decor of the Gold room with some beautiful accent lighting that filled the room with romantic reds, and elegant gold. Their first dance really took their guests senses to the extreme as we transformed the room with the popular dancing on the clouds effect.
The rest of the night the dance floor was packed with their friends and family and we really turned up the energy with the atmospheric lighting package that gave the room that Hi-Energy feel. I had a great time planning this once in a life time event for the two of them and I am pretty sure that they are off to somewhere worm and sunny for the honeymoon.
I would also like to take my hat off to a very special man, Richard Hutting who designed and crafted the breath taking cake figurines for Leah and Ryan. You see, Ryan is a Fire Fighter who would go to any limits to protect Leah and this was reflected in these one of a kind figurines. I understand that over the past year Richard put around 300 hours of time into this project preparing them for their wedding day. I must have spent 20 minutes looking at them trying to figure out how he created them.
Every piece was hand painted, carved, and molded to exact detentions of Leah and Ryan. The dress was a perfect match, the fireman's equipment was held on by working straps. The final detail was the ladder that the hero was climbing to rescue his beautiful bride from such great heights atop the wedding cake. During our planning Leah tried to explain it to me and I will be honest with you, she had a hard time coming up with words that described them. This was the talk of the night amongst the family. Here's to you Richard for give Leah and Ryan a gift that will undoubtedly be showcased in their home as a great conversation piece.
No your eyes do not deceive you, I said we made it snow inside Arden Hills on Thursday night. How you might ask? That is a secret to my clients; however I would like to share with you a clip from the wedding. Georgeeanna and Mario had worked very hard on choreographing their first dance and wanted to really wow their guests. I suggested to the two of them that they book the Snow Elegance package to surprise everyone. With their guests eyes contently glued to the dance floor the guests erupted into applause as they realized that their beautiful dance made it snow. They continued without hesitation and it seemed as though they were the only two in the room.
This week was a first for me working at the Morgan Creek Country Club for the wedding of Ashley and Mike Newell. From start to finish this was a night to remember for all who attended. I worked with Lonna Ponce of Ponce's Portraits who provided the pictures below. This is just a few of the amazing moments she captured for Ashley and Mike on their wedding day. We started the reception with a custom introduction of the wedding party. I worked closely with Ashley and Mike to tell a brief story about each member, and the bond they shared with the couple. The guests were laughing, cheering, and on one occasion booing. Apparently when I announced that Jack was a Bronco's fan there were not a lot of supporters among the guests. However, they did cheer for him when we announced him into the reception. Jack had the last laugh later that that night when we created a lot of excitement amongst the guys during the garter toss. Moments before the toss I brought out a Football that had been signed by Ashley and Mike with their wedding date on it. We wrapped the garter around the football and tossed it into the group of guys. You guessed it; Jack caught the ball and by chance, his girlfriend ended up with the bouquet. That night we also accented the facility with lighting that added pure elegance to this grand event. It's amazing what a little lighting will do to a ballroom.
